At times, small doesn’t necessarily means no good if you look at the brighter side.  Small classes with lesser students gave you all the attention you want from the teacher and at times when situation persist, we are able to do a thing or two not according to the schedule like how in Partner Yoga, we ended up engaging ourselves in Group Yoga.  And the best part of all, the camera started flashing away.

Yoga Pose – Caterpillar (First person going down on Downward Facing Dog and the rest took turn to go down on Half Handstand)

Not a perfect composition from some of us but at least we get the chance to try something new.

This is the time you gotta think big.  When a student like you class, the cash drawer is going to fill up pretty fast.  No?

Last week class was a little different. The formerly quiet and calm lesson burst into an excited buzz. It was like a yoga class had morphed into a cocktail party with camera flashing after we was pairing.

I took the above picture of my kids when I started Yoga sometime in 2007.  It was more of a foreplay and didn’t realised they are one of the asana commonly performed in partner yoga.  This is also my first time doing Partner Yoga and I was very excited about it.  I was telling myself, since I can take the weight of my kids, it shouldn’t be a problem to lift my partner.  Not that they are going to sit on my leg, right!  Lifting them is no biggie.

This is my Yoga Teacher.  The proper way of positioning your feet is to place them at your partner’s groin area.  (AND SUCK THAT ABS IN!!! Thank you.)

Not too bad except when I tried to position my arm forward, the legs started to get woobly.

And now is my turn to go on top.

Teacher is always a teacher right?  This time our hands are parallel with each other like tv stands.  Let me tell you what is the feeling being lifted up there.  Performing Partner Yoga poses builds a very high level of trust on your partner and nothing else. With all confidence and trust, I managed to let go one hand.

I was very near to perfect it with a prayer pose but the non existence of  support really makes a difference!  I was terrified of height!  I was afraid of falling!  I can tell that my legs flew apart and there goes my balancing.

This is just the starting.  We had whole lot of fun and laughter after this.  Will post up more pictures after this post.

Namaste, everyone!

Went for my half yearly followup on the fibroid and it seems that the size has shrink from 33mm to 25mm.  Yay!  And that many, many, cyst has disappear altogether.  Double yay!

When I first found out I have fibroid, I was advise by friends to consume less red meat, and I did.  I was a Flexitarian for almost a year now. If all these diet  is effective, it sure help to stagnant or slow down the growth of the fibroid.  Another food that you should avoid is the ‘Bak Foong Yuen’ mainly consumed by Chinese female after their menses. Some believe it will help the fibroid growth by two fold which is not a good thing.

It is so common nowadays to hear people die of diseases or sickness.  For example the new disease called Swine Flu or the uncommon cancer like mesothelioma.  Now you know why it is so important to eat healthy and live happy.

So much bragging and no picture at all is not my type of blogging, eh?  Everything is almost done at my little private space except for the mirror that need some drilling work to be done by profession just in case some internal wiring is along the way to the AED box .

But after proscracinating for so many months, the mirror is still remained resting against the wall.  So sad isn’t it.

After many donkey months, I realised I kinda like the mirror that way cos in most standing poses, I do not have to bother checking if I my hair is messy. *rofl*

The first picture may fool a lot of you but to tell you the truth, my house is always in a mess especially my workstation.  Who’s don’t anyway?

After seeing my workstation alongside with my inhome yoga sanctuary, you will find them very unappetising right?  What to do!  This is the best that I can do with so limited space.

It is almost 2 months now since I’ve stopped my membership in Chi Fitness.  Changing of yoga center doesn’t means that I have stopped my yoga practise entirely.  I choose to attend classes somewhere nearer to home.  That way, I do not have to waste more time on the road and endure all the freaking jams!

My current place is Living Yoga operated by ex-YZ instructor and she hired majority ex-YZ instructor too 🙂 .  The best thing about going to classes on my very first day is meeting all my old yoga buddy again!   It’s a clique.  Every where she goes, every where they follows.

The down side is I don’t get to enjoy luxury facilities in this new place.  No more steam room, rainforest showerhead, sparkling Delta faucets, more classes to choose, etc.  This new place is kinda comfy for 10 people. Go imagine.

The plus side is $$$.  RM270.00 for 24 classes, validity for 6 months.  Which means one lesson is RM11.00.  Quite affordable and I don’t loose any money for the classes that I don’t go. (I am refering to unlimited package).  This scheme works for me and I likey!  And throughout this 2 months, I’ve only managed to attend 5 classes.  Dang, what is wrong with me!

A while ago, we was dining out at Yogitree in The Garden, Mid Valley.  While waiting for our food to arrive, I decided to take few Yoga poses pictures for the purpose of blog posting.  Knowing kids, they won’t leave me alone and always kacau participate in the things I do.

The result?

Full Lotus Pose

Tree Pose

The Hawk Tree Pose and Drunken Tree Pose (Fyi, this two poses doesn’t exist at all, ok?)

Very cheeky little boy.  Nowadays whenever I am in Tree Pose, he will tease me with his cheeky pose.  Really makes me piak his backside. LOL

The Yogitree claimed to be a cafe cum bistro CUM boutique was located at The Garden Mid Valley.  Take the escalator up to the first floor and you won’t miss them cos they are right in front of you when you embark from the  escalator. For health freak people, this is the place you must visit.

The furniture does not blend out nicely as there are some rattan chairs, green pastel furnishing, padded chairs, etc. But I must say, I really like the blackboard on top of the counter even though the writing is a bit ‘unfriendly’ for me.   But one thing that make the patronage came back for more.  The FOOD!

The shop concept is to serve everything that is organic and pure.  The following food review is solely based on my personal taste bud and may varied for others.

The Husband is not the type who had the patience to go thru the whole list of menu.  He just picked out something that is most familiar with, the Ayam Percik.  I was so wrong to think that this is one ordinary malay food.  The sambal chicken taste so good!  Just go thru the ingredients in the menu and you know for sure what you ate are healthy food.  No kidding!

Since Hubby did not favour raw vegetables, I was more than happy to polish off the plate.  The ulam goes so well with the sambal.  Or rather, the sambal goes so well with the ulam.   Ok, whatever it is, this is a thumbs up from me.  Highly recommended.

Oh, and not forgetting, this dish came with a piece of turmeric fish.  By just writing down all this, I am starting to drool again. *wipe salivar from keyboard*

They have Yogikids menu to choose between a fish or chicken nuggets.  None of the kiddos like them.  So I ordered chicken sausage.  Was told that the portion is quite large.  But I didn’t know it was SO LARGE!

I mean… look at that sausage.  I bet they are a meter long if you unswirl it.  Not to my liking as they are too salty for my tastebud but the gravy goes well with the mashed potatoes.  You can tell they are from real potatoes cos the texture is not smooth like the one in KFC (fyi, KFC used powder potatoe + mixed with water into paste).

For myself, I didn’t want to stuff myself silly with food so that I still have some room for dessert.  This is what I’ve ordered – Seafood Fillo Parcel consist of mushroom, fish, cheese baked till crispy in fillo sheet.

This is not bad actually but once you have tried the earlier Ayam Percik, nothing could beat it.

The kiddos had smoothie mango.  Initially we thought they have mixed up our order for a banana smoothie but only to be told that all smoothies came with a base of banana, yoghurt and honey added into it for.  Too bad the banana overpowered the taste of the mango and none of the kids like them.  Sorry, no picture for that.

We ordered another round of  Very Berry cos they are vely belly good!  Consist of “strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, cranberry and carrot, they contained huge amount of Vitamin C, carotenoids – a powerful antioxidant which protect against heart disease”. I just copied this whole sentence from their menu *sweat*

For dessert, this strawberry tart was supposed to be mine and I have yet to take a picture of it!  The kiddos can’t wait to digged into it, I bet.  And you should read this!

aitelyu, the pastry crust is so crunchy!  They doesn’t falls into crumbs when you bite on it.  Now I wonder if unbleached organic flour really works wonder!

While waiting for the food to arrive, I managed to check out some wholesale handbags sold next door and thereafter, we had so much fun doing lots of silly yoga tree poses.  Hey, it’s a Labour’s Day anyway and we are dining out at Yogitree.  It’s an ‘offence’ to be serious, you know 😉 .

Stay tune for all the silly me pictures.  Till then, namaste!

Sometimes when I am at a public place, I have to come up instantly on a most suitable standing pose without going down on my hand and knee.  I can only think of tree pose.  For a change, this time I did the Flowing Tree Pose.  And I know, I have not been posting up such crap for the longest time now.  It’s good to be back, isn’t it?

I mean, back to the real blogging world la.

Namaste, everyone!

This is my first ever gem stone jewellery and also the gift of love from the woman I truly adore.  Granny gave me this sapphire ring on the day I turned 21. Even thou Granny is now 95 y/o, I am glad that I remained a sapphire in her eyes.  Granny told me once, she gave me a sapphire so that my Hubby had the chance to bring me a diamond.  From then on, I am always hopping that my engagement rings would be anything more elegant than this.  Granny’s gift still hold the award till today.

Inverted Prayer

Lately I’ve notice a little balding circle where the splitting of hair is.  It doesn’t alarm me as I have been experiencing quite a horrible amount of shedding lately due to the heavy weight of long hair.  Then I got an idea.  Currently my hair is side split.  All I need to do is change them to centre splitting.  That way, hopefully it will improve the condition.  If this failed, I will cut my fringe short.  If all fail…………. (God, please don’t) will get some hair loss solution.
