What should that be?

If you didn’t know, Headstand or in sanskrit shirshasana is an extremely power asana giving beneficiary effect to the whole body.  The few that I remember is improving memory, intelligence, promote hair growth, help put the spine into correct alignment, makes you looks younger (best wrinkle cream *ahem*), etc…

So to be warned beforehand, do wear a snug fit appeareal as you are going to go topsy turvy upside down and you do not want to reveal what is at the bottom.  Do ya?  It is gonna be very humiliating hilarious when the instructor came and tell you this, “Tuck in your shirt first” before he guide you upside down. LOL!

A while ago, we was dining out at Yogitree in The Garden, Mid Valley.  While waiting for our food to arrive, I decided to take few Yoga poses pictures for the purpose of blog posting.  Knowing kids, they won’t leave me alone and always kacau participate in the things I do.

The result?

Full Lotus Pose

Tree Pose

The Hawk Tree Pose and Drunken Tree Pose (Fyi, this two poses doesn’t exist at all, ok?)

Very cheeky little boy.  Nowadays whenever I am in Tree Pose, he will tease me with his cheeky pose.  Really makes me piak his backside. LOL

I’ve tried one session of traditional yoga that was conducted in an air-conditioning room.  I do feel weird about it as I hardly perspire at all.  As what I am aware of, most yoga outlet doesn’t equip their room with an air-contidioning.  The most they have is a rotating fan.  Does anyone know what is the actual norm for a yoga room?  I am in the midst of converting one of my room into a yoga room.  But the room has only air-con in it.  If air-con is a no-no, I have to quickly think of the alternative, i.e. to grab the discount ceiling fans that is on sale right now.

The temperature was around 2C when I was at The Great Wall of China.  The occasional wind does not do any justice at all.  We was freezing!  So I thought Warrior pose should be the most suitable of all.  Trying the tough one – Warrior 3.

The jean, the jacket, the boots and the wind makes me impossible to balance at all.  That was a quick 3 seconds before I lost my balance.  What the heck, so I retook another shot of Warrior 2.

It was a bliss.  Note to self:  Next time no need show off, ok.

Next trip coming up would be Orlando vacations sometime in September.  A yogini friend of mine commented that I was always out of town.  Well, travelling is the best medicine for releasing stress.  Learn yoga also stress!  *slap forehead*

Hot Yoga is also known as Bikram Yoga in Sanskrit. Ideally, the room was heated to 40°C  with a humidity of 40%.  A vigorous yoga session at this temperature promotes profuse sweating which believe will help you to lose weight, get rids the body of toxins and also makes the body very warm and therefore more flexible.   But sad to say, my facial skin can’t afford to loose all it’s moisture as they get hydrated very fast.  No amount of serum moisturizer can help unless I go for treatment like oxyen mask or microdermabrasion.  I would say, Hot Yoga is not for everyone especially if you have problematic skin like me.

I was told by a number of people that the old premise of Yoga Zone Klang has taken over by Zen. And I go, “Who is Zen?”

“The Poster Girl with that cute teddies print bandana on the head la.”

I see!

Looks like by 1st March, the faded poster is going to make way for a new one. Even the sky is more blue than any part of the poster. Hope this piece of news can materialized as I have been praying for a new owner to take over and am really looking forward to continue my practice there.

p/s: No further question as this is all I was told.

This electronics mail (e-mail) was forwarded to me by my 21y/o niece who’s parents is converted Christian. In the past, we end up once in heated debate about Yoga practise. I’m surprised she is still trying to proof to me that Yoga is somewhat evil. Have a read:

HI friends,
On Wednesday, I attended a talk by an ex-yoga teacher, Mdm Poh Shon Choy, who sold her yoga centre (earning lots of money giving yoga lessons) and severed all ties with yoga. She urges us to inform relatives, friends, Family members, etc., NOT to get involved at all. Many claimed that they only join to keep fit, only doing the exercise poses and not meditation. Christians think it is ok so long they don’t participate in the Meditation part. Mdm Choy explains that the central of Yoga (originated from Hinduism) is the spirit of Kundalini (spirit Of snake or cobra). Yoga poses are actually animal poses (e.g. camel, rabbit,). All these look very normal and harmless, stretching and exercising. But the danger is, once a person does such poses, the spirit of Kundalini (the snake is in a coiled position) is stimulated or aroused. As the persons goes from basic to intermediate to advance stage of yoga lessons (still not meditation yet), the coiled will be aroused further. It will rise and rise further. There are 7 centres in the human body – starting from the navel. The final centre is the part between the eye brows (known to many as the third eye). When the spirit is aroused to the final centre, the third eye will be opened. This is called the full enlightenment. The first thing the person sees is demons. For some, they will become insane seeing such horrifying demons. For others, they are not afraid – And will have the power to fore-tell other people’s health, problems, luck, etc (like a fortune teller). In fact, they manipulate and control other people. The meditation part will come in very subtle. Mdm Choy said she was approached by a couple who found her contact from the yellow pages and told her they wanted to teach her new things about yoga. She was very keen and sat under their teaching. She learnt how to meditate and it must be done in odd hours of the day (past midnight).
(YogaJess said: Dah kena ajaran sesat la tu.) So she tried. She actually felt a wriggling feeling in her stomach! She also mentioned that her third eye was opened. She could see her own aura (electric fields in all human beings). Her turning point came when God caused her spiritual eyes to open – she witnessed a lady being delivered, wriggling Like a snake on the floor.. Mdm Choy thanked God for being gracious to her, she took 1-2 weeks to bedelivered. She knows of a lady who took 3 months to be cleansed!! It is a sad thing, there is even yoga lessons for children. In the States, a Methodist started the Christian yoga. However, there are some believers who still continue, saying that they find no harm after doing yoga for 3 years. Mdm Choy says it is our soul that is in danger. The evil one will try all ways to ensnare/trap Christians. Someone in the class raised a question – if we have The Holy Spirit, how can the spirit of kundalini be aroused? Mdm Choy replied our God is a holy God, the Holy Spirit will be grieved and will depart. God cannot be mocked. God’s spirit left King Saul when he disobeyed God. To God, rebellion spirit is witchcraft. We are not against yoga teachers, yoga students but we are fighting against powers, principalities in the Spiritual realm. Let’s be on guard, be aware!

I’ve only got one thing to say after reading the above, IT’LL BE DEM COOL TO SEE OTHER PEOPLE’S AURA WITH MY THIRD EYE!”. You know, the thing about internet, anyone can just make up anything and forward them in e-mails. Hey, let’s make up another story and forward them too. DUH!

I managed to Google more on Mdm Choy the author of “In the Nude ~ Confessions of an ex-Yoga Teacher” . She was born and brought up in Ipoh, Malaysia, some fifty-six years ago, she is the youngest of nine children. At the age of three, she lost her father to cancer. Not having the financial means to do a tertiary education, she opted for a nursing course in England after her Cambridge ‘O’ level exams. She is married with two teenage daughters and continues to run the business of providing nursing services to hospitals, clinics, research centres and homes. She worships at Wesley Methodist Church and also serves as an altar counsellor. She is now invited to give testimony in various churches. Don’t play-play.

A very shocking discovery. I was on MSN the other day with a ex-Yoga Zone teacher that I still keep in contact hence he has moved to another country to continue his Yoga teaching. He asked me if anything new happened to Yoga empire here. Not as I know of ever since the winding up of YZ and the fatwa thingy. He then told me that Yogaloft approached him to teach there. And then I go Uh-oh. We all know who is behind Yogaloft right. It’s been many many moons since the Yoga Zone crisis thing happened. All along, I tried not to look into YogaLover88 or Joshua or Yogurt’s blog or even mentioned anything that is concerning ‘them’ at all. And since this topic was brought up again, I took a little peep at www.yogaloft.com.my website.

The first thing is, “THIS MAN WITH MOLE SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME!” Pardon the rudeness. lol. Secondly, this doesn’t looks like a Yoga blog eh? So I read on. And the juicy part catches me!

What the heck is going on? Aren’t they sick of playing such game?

And of course more familiar name was mentioned like Yogalover88 *rolling eye*

So the WHOLEEEEEEE MORNING (!!!) I was stuck in between Joshua, Yogalover88 and Yogurt’s blog reading all the gossips and decided to check out the guy named Jason Bak.

Hey oh? His profile picture is better than the one in Yogaloft website! And I nearly choke to death when I read ’single and available’. Wtf, trying to sell himself? OMG! He is so sporting. Not!

So I read on and sense the whole thing is quite fishy especially the blog. Why does someone starts a blog and leave all the hate comment there for the whole world to read? What does he benefit from there as all I see is more damage is going to happen.

Another million dollar question: You gave that person a second chance but to be betrayed again. Can you trust that person for the third time?

I was back from my one week long holiday and has planned to catch up on Yoga practises that I’ve missed. That morning as I tried to ignite the car, the battery went dead. I knew that would happen if your car was left in hibernation mode for too many days. Logic would say, our body and the car engine works the same. I never felt so stiff before and now, I am suffering from body aches all over. I started to walk like a duck the next few days and badly needed to sleep on a heated mattress pads. Aches lasted about 4 days and I felt so good now.  Well, this is a lesson to learn – not to leave your body in hibernation mode for more than 3 days.
