Filed Under (Staying Fit & Healthy) by admin

It was a dread whenever the weekend is here.  My usual weekend yoga routine now is replaced with loitering routine at the mall and not forgetting, spending more $$$ buying more shoes! Sigh… Wondering how long do we have to wait for the classes to resume.

One of the weekend when I was loitering in Mid Valley, I stumbled upon a very interesting foot reflexology called Kenko Reflexology & Fish Spa.

The Garra Rufa fish foot spa has been an ‘in’ thing nowadays. Since we have nothing much to do, we decided to gave it a try. We just did it for fun and out of curiosity. Not a bad experience after all having your foot nibbled by fishies. Those tiny fishies you see in the above pic is nothing. You should try a bigger ones and I mean really big ones like the size of two thumbs putting together!

The fish spa is supposed to be good for those with skin problems like eczema and psoriasis. Apparently, the Dr. Fish helps to clear away scaly and dead skin by nibbling on your foot thus allowing new skin to grow. For a 30minutes session, RM38 is not cheap but it is definitely worth the experience.  The whole 30minutes fish spa included a routine of occasionally leg lifting (hey, this is part of Yogaing), lots of squealing and controlled giggles.  After a while the foot started to get the hang of these nibbling.  It is quite therapeutic I would think.

The end result – the skin is smoother and cleaner especially on the back of the heels.  I would advise you to apply some moisturizer after the session.  Not sure about you but I do felt my skin is a bit dry from all the nibbling. I would return for another experience, simply because it is such a bizarre and amusing way to have my legs exfoliated.

“Fish Spa” become fashionable now…

For your info, the fishes used in Kxxkx were not the real GARA RUFFA. it was juz young and juvenile tillapia fish called “CHIN CHIN”.
i got those info from the internet. Will send more info to your email.

So, pls do make sure you make the right choice for your fish therapy. 🙂

Have a nice day.

Dear All,

This is an e-mail I received from itoe on YZ receivership update as of 27aug08.

~~~~~~~~
itoe e-mail read as this:
Attach is a update upon members from YZ, The Weld after our queries with the auditors.
You may want to post it to your blog for the others information.
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m255/hijackqueen/Yogajess/YZUPDATE27AUG08.jpg
One of our member whom a senior banker knew exactly how’s the system work. She takes the effort to call auditor, getting the details, document it personally and handle to YZ, The Weld members this morning.
She knew the member’s worries and concern over YZ receivership and she can not be telling everyone of the status therefore she document it for members information and understanding.
The review sounds positive and hopefully YZ has a good ending for all of us… genuine Yoga practitioner!!! – End
~~~~~~~~~~~

Hope the above help.

If I’m the investor, I’ll analyse the total cost to get 20,000 members compared to the total cost to keep existing YZ 20,000 members. What are the expenses & take how long to get 20,000 members? Advertisement? Promotion? Teachers fees? Staff payroll? consultants’ commission? 5 years? 7 years? Compared to how much I need to pay to keep existing members contracts remained changed so that I can have 20,000 customers immediately? May be I just sacrify GC members as not much money I can get from them, but this kind of people are so passionate & crazy about yoga. They walk talk eat sleep with yoga, they show great example of healty lifestyles to their family, relatives, neighbours, colleagues, friends, they can talk about yoga all day long to anyone they meet in the street, they can even create a nice blog like yogajess & yogalover to promote yoga. They are my free valuable great advertisement agents & models.Can I so stupid to chase them to competitors? Who will be laughing? How many will leave if I don’t act fast?

itoe on 3 September, 2008 at 6:53 pm #

Well said Lee. Absolutely right! If the investor is to forgo us whether as a GC members or annual members… is never a wise move! No one will trust the new people or to sign up with them!

What i have learnt from YZ, NO more one off payment for any annual membership or any other promotional package…it is just too risky!!! The law isn’t protecting on consumer ends.
