Through this past weeks of ordeal, I’ve learn a lot of things from all of you out there. Many words out there that I’ve never heard of and some are great philosophies. On the other hand, it is not easy for me this past few weeks moderating comments. At times, I have to stay up till the wee hours to approved comments. Sometimes, I have to play detective screening thru genuine commentators and so-called trouble maker. When my bandwidth exceeded, I have to forked out $$$ for upgrading. Even during a holiday, I mind never stop thinking of the crisis. It wasn’t like before anymore.

It was great to be back from a short holiday. I am sure everybody can’t wait to face the truth on Monday. Thank goodness classes is seen to resumed this morning. At least there is a little hope there that keep us going. As usual, I can foresee a little gossiping here and there. That is the human nature. God, please forgive them. For the teachers that continue with their classes, blessed their little heart.

Anyone care to explain what is the meaning of Yoga Body, Yoga Mind?

i never heard of yoga body yoga mind before your blog, but to what i learned, i think only one word can be associated with yoga mind – nuetral.

there is no exact right or wrong in things/matters, there is no perfect and there is no worst.

we think happiness is good, but it have its end and when it does, we miserably hope it will soon come back, and we compare them, “the last time was happier.”

we feel down and sorrow when sadness strike, no one will cherish it, no one know after a taste of bitter, the sweetness taste sweeter.

only the true yogi knows, happiness and sadness take turn to visit us, when the good comes he will not over joy, because he knows what coming after that, and when bad comes he will not feel down as he knows it will pass.

achieving this state of mind, it’s bless, as like it has been detox, it’s clear, it’s free.

never had a yoga teacher taught me abt yoga body, yoga mind before.I suppose both terms can’t be explain nor comprehend in one hr’s class. Classes were more focus on yoga body. I suppose yoga mind is more abstract and it is like a way of life, one can only realise tru time n vibration from the positive yogis around. But then again, yoga mind has to accomadate to this very complicated society in order for one to survive.

It is hard to descripe what “yoga mind” means… however, you will get it when you able to let go everything, no matter it is good or bad… there is no past, no future… but “now”… and at that moment, you definitely won’t care what yoga mind means…

Namaste.

Yoga Body Yoga Mind?

Promise Yourself –
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best in you.
This was originally published in 1912 in a book titled: “Your Forces and How to Use Them.” The author was Christian D. Larson, a prolific writer and lecturer who believed that people have tremendous latent powers, which could be harnessed for success with the proper attitude.

Yoga……it’s not about how to do it, but how you do it! Treasure the journey, not the result!

practice yoga because of body mind and soul…
use the asana to strengthen the body and balance the mind….
dont use the body to practice the asana….
which means you are control the asana and not control by the asana….

yoga mind is to feel every present moment spent is a treasure. Letting go of past, not to worry the future. Past and future is not real, Only the present is fundamentally real, and it is creativity and being. That’s why we call it ‘present’.

Practice meditation, to feel the present, the stillness of life with love. Eventually your mental outlook will become naturally optimistic, and a powerful, soothing calm. Life will be full of love and won’t look so scare anymore.

I’m into the study of esoteric teachings of The Phylosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece. Would like to share with you all, the subject of MIND.
“The ALL is Mind, the universe is mental” The Kybalion.
Mind is a powerful tool. There is a universal law of thinking. When u learn how it works, Miracle happen. What u think and what u believe is what will come true for u. Your thought create your life. Every thought we think, every word we speak, is creating our own future. Our thoughts literally go out to the universe, and accepted and brought back to us as experience.
U r creating your life with your mind and thoughts.
Become aware of what u don wan in your life and how u r contributing 4 it.
Most of us is just think, think, think, think ,think….and we don pay attention to what we r thinking. We r just doing it.
This is something we have to train ourselves to do. We have to train ourselves to be aware of what we r thinking. one of the way is to periodically say to ourselves,” What Am I thinking? Would i like this thought to create my life? Would I like to have the experience of this thought that it brings to me?” It takes a while to do that but even we begin at this small level of being aware of our thoughts, we can begin to to make changes.
CHANGE YOUR THOUGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
This is true and i’m experiencing it. Whenever i caught myself in the middle of -ve thoughts, i laugh to myself and tell myself u better replace it with something +ve b4 it manifest as real life experience. Once u realise the power of your mind, you really become limitless and u can delibrately create the life u want. How amazing. That’s the purpose we come to this life, to realise who we really are and our power. We r created in the image and likeness of God. We r indeed the creator of our own life experiences, when u realise this, u will never ever blame others for what u r experiencing bcoz others is just the co-cretaors of your life. Living life in this realisation really powerful and fulfilling. Enjoy creating the life that u want from now on. Namaste.

Well said Drsu…very enlightening indeed.

All explanation too long lah. Yoga body yoga mind. Why body first? Since yoga utilizes the body first with movements and sequence, you will, eventually, train your mind as well.
To know your limits, and to better yourself and best of all, to truly appreciate yoga. Yoga body, yoga mind.

simple 🙂

To love is the greatest thing in life; it is very important to talk about love, to feel it, to nourish it, to treasure it, otherwise it will soon be dissipated, for the world is very brutal. If while you are young you don’t feel love, if you don’t look with love at people, at animals, at flowers, when you grow up you find that your life is empty; you will be very lonely, and the dark shadows of fear will follow you always. But the moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed. – Yogananda
