Good thing I live in a small town where everyone goes anywhere in flip flops. I just simply love flip flop as they give my foot more rooms to breath, yet comfortable and stylish. When I was little, the only shoe my Parents can afford is a flip flop that goes by the name Japanese slipper that came in white base and blue strap. Nowadays, the design of flip flop is so stylish you can wear them anywhere you like be it a shopping mall or a stroll at the beach.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner.  I do not want to repeat last year history where I ended up with a fake white gold pendant.  That is so embarrassing and my Mom would thought that I am not sincere by buying her a gift.  So I started to shop early so that I have enough time to decide what is the best presents to buy for her.  Anyway, I have set aside a budget to  buy her gold chain or something slightly more expensive to compensate for last year.  You just have to check out the pink chain.  They are new in the market and they look so feminine.  I’m sure my mom will love them as I am already fallen in love with it too.  *hint-hint Hubby*

Nowadays, magnifier doesn’t come in just a plain old boring looking magnifying glass for reading.  I was quite surprise to bump into a magnifier reading light and the magnifying nail clipper is most suitable for aging people.  How about this?  A magnifying tweezer!  You just have to check out the link above to see for your self.  I’m definitely getting one of those to see what I am tweezing!

I have not seen one of the regular Yogi coming in for practice for quite sometime. Even the Yoga instructor do not know his whereabout as this Yogi is very talented and has got a very flexible body. After more than a month missing from practice, finally he turned up one day. I can’t help myself but to ask his whereabout. Sad to hear this, he have to turn to a alcohol rehabs centre for his alcohol addiction. I am just glad he managed to put a stop to his addiction now with only a month treatment in the centre. Now, he is back to his full swing of yoga. Good for him!

One fine day as I was lazy to lay out the yoga mat, I decided just practice my headstand on the sofa chair. Oops, did I know the sofa is way too soft and watch what happen. My 3 kids almost have their jaw drop to the floor. We thought that is so hillarious and I did it once again so that we would record it down and post them here.

The  Yoga center that I frequented to has a full flooring of parquet on their ground floor and first floor studio.  Unfortunately, termite love to attack on parquet and yes, last weekend, the workers found some damaged parquet on the first floor studio.  Some of them suggested to spray some insecticides to killed them.  Luckly I  was on my way  for my Yoga  and  overheard all the commotion  and managed to stop them in time.

Not many people has knowledge to handle termite.  Do you know that if you spray the insecticides on the termite, only the one on the surface will die.  Thousands of other termites which is hidden inside the wood still survived and probably some may runaway thus creating a new termites colony again elsewhere.  I highly recommended Terminix to the management since my home is also protected by them.  You can be rest assured of their services as they have more than 60 years of experience in pest control.  I hope they will act fast as termite never stop chewing and the whole Yoga centre has parquet flooring.  Yikes, now i have goosebump going for Yoga.  Just imagine the termite is right under our yoga mat!

Sanskrit: Kapotasana or Eka Pada Rajakapotasana

This posture is good for stretching the groin, tights and back. In downward dog, bend your right knee and swing them forward in a Pigeon pose or some may called it Swan pose. You should square your hip and press it down towards the floor. For beginners that have difficulty to square you hip, place a block under your butt. This is just the beginning of pigeon pose aka Kapotasana.

For the full pigeon pose aka Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, bend your left knee and using your left hand to catch hold of your leg.

You may need to practise more of the asana before going to the full posture which may be difficult for some. But to me, boy, after almost 9 months, the instructor still commented that I have imbalance posture.

It is the difficulty of squaring my shoulder to the front especially if you are someone that can’t tolerate back bend.

Well, need to brush up lots of skill here and also flexibility. I will rate this asana at 8/10! lol. It may look easy but the fact is, it is not!

Namaste, everyone!
